Before you read any further, you need to give yourself a hand for actually WANTING to forgive your ex. That’s big. If you will set your energy to give away a small bit each day, within a very short time you’ll see your energy release and dissipate. It’s necessary to forgive even for those who don’t think there’s anything left to forgive. Forgiveness is a process and one that releases YOU the most. Another wonderful exercise is to access some things that you actually appreciate about your former mate. It doesn’t have to be related to the marriage. Perhaps you liked the way he did the home repairs. Or you liked what a good circle of budd?ies he has. Maybe you loved his grin. It can be anything. The reason is to begin to search for qualities that you enjoyed. You do this for no other reason than to shift your energy about him. You release yourself.
When you forgive you create space. Space to create more of what’s wanted. And for all of us, what’s wanted is to receive more love.
