How to Overcome Procrastination

Postponing and putting things off is the art of procrastination. A lack of willpower is often the cause. This then leads to sufferers falling behind in all areas of their life.   • In order to progress a little further with things, add five onto every task you undertake.   • Make a list of every job you have to do and make a priority list of them. You break these tasks down further into half hour projects. Make a timetable and set yourself a target of completing 3 of these tasks a day in order to get them out of the way.
  • Look at all of the disadvantages of leaving tasks by realising that they don’t get easier and less stressful – only harder and more stressful if you leave them. The only way to break the habit of avoiding tasks is to start doing them and see the benefits, remember to prioritise tasks and understand how to overcome procrastination by using your willpower.
