Get Taller: You Can Do It
Different people have different growth rates at various stages in their life. The person’s height continuously improves just before the onset of adolescence. Growth is stunted when you reach past adolescence. But the issue is: many individuals still want to get taller beyond this stage because they feel that life would be better if only they’re a few centimeters taller.
Tall people are said to be blessed, not only in appearance but as well as in many other aspects of life. It is this belief that drives almost everybody to desire to be taller—for men, it is to stand six feet tall. If you’re shorter than that, then you are doomed—this causes apprehension among many individuals.
Ideally, height should not be an indicator of the person’s real worth, but the norms these days are inclined to disprove this. Short people are considered by many individuals as persons bereft of form, and sometimes even of substance. Other than this, many people do not take short individuals seriously, and this could be because short people are often compared to children.
Other than looks, many short individuals also suffer in social circles. It’s easier for tall people to interact with others, which is not so among short people. And if you think this is already bad, there is something even worse. Well, nothing could be more difficult than being rejected by a beloved who prefers a person taller than you. It’s sad to note that this lack in opportunity is carried even to the workplace, where the efforts of short people are overshadowed by the good impressions earned by tall people.
All these problems make short people desire to get taller. People who are still in their childhood or puberty stage will have no problem here because there’s a big possibility that their natural growth will continue until they get past the adolescent stage. To those who are already in adulthood and still desire improvement in their height, it’s not yet the end of the road.
The most important thing to keep in mind is to be healthy and physically fit. Growth is affected by various factors such as proper nutrition, enough water intake, enough sleep, and proper exercise.
Other than good health, proper posture is also crucial to improving your height. You may be tall, but when you always slouch, your maximum height potential will not be achieved. To get taller, discipline yourself to stand tall and be aware of your posture all the time to avoid drooping unconsciously. These simple suggestions can greatly help improve a person’s height.
